The Story
Everyone knows the origins of vampires, but have you ever asked yourself, where did the first werewolf come from? Was it Lon Chaney? Saint Christopher? Maybe even Lycaon? No, long before any of them ever existed, Solomon was born.
In 8,000 BC, times were incredibly tough, but Solomon never lost his sense of levity. Born into the family responsible for creating one of the first villages in history, right next to a lush oasis. With his big brother Kuwari, as well as his best friends Hikma and Sharaf by his side, responsibility seemed to just roll off of Solomon
However, while Solomon may run from his duties, eventually they catch him and even he will have to grow up.
There are numerous dangers in the desert, whether it be the deadly creatures, roaming marauders, or even the baking sun. However, Solomon will soon find that when faced with desperate situations, there are far worse things waiting for him out there.
When desperate situations lead to desperate decisions, Solomon will be forced to live with the consequences of those actions.
About The Author
Hi, my name is Dennis!
Consultant by day, podcaster and writer by night. However, I’m a millennial dog dad to a big floofy newfie named Yoshi 24/7.
Born, raised, and currently residing in historic Gettysburg, ever since I can remember, I have been enamored with stories of humans with something else lurking just beneath the surface. The Hulk, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, and of course werewolves, to name a few.
As a child, I happened to stumble across a book in the local library that was a picture book of Lon Chaney’s The Wolfman (1941). I was immediately fascinated, and the love of those kinds of stories just grew over time. As time went by I also developed a love of mythology and folklore. Starting with Jim Henson’s The Storyteller and growing with the video game God of War, I have fallen in love with these historic tales of gods, heroes, and monsters.
Speaking of love, I have long had a love of telling stories. This passion developed as I began playing Dungeons and Dragons, which allowed me to really have an interactive and creative storytelling experience. Dungeons and Dragons led me to starting up my podcast alongside my friends: Botched: A D&D Podcast. Over the past 6 years, we have been adventuring (and drinking) in fantasy worlds, dystopic futures, space, and many more. Through podcasting I began attending Dragoncon in Atlanta, GA every year. It was through this chain of events that I find myself here today.
I originally began writing the story of Solomon back in 2009 before putting it on the back burner, for what I thought was forever. At my first Dragoncon in 2017, after having met numerous other nerds in the podcasting community, I pitched them the idea of the world’s first werewolf and his adventures throughout time. They encouraged me to follow this dream, and in 2021 I successfully launched my first Kickstarter for Chapter 1.
Today, I am continually working on more stories with Solomon, with the goal that one day it will be a self sustaining project, allowing me to create other stories in other genres at the same time. At the end of the day, I am a people pleaser, and I would love nothing more than to produce more stories for people to enjoy!
